Josh & Meg {clemson, sc engagement photographer}
February 27, 2011
So Josh and Meg tried to tell me that they were awkward and not photogenic. And I don’t like to call people liars – I don’t think it’s nice – so I’ll just say that they are either just super critical or overly humble. We had a great time hanging out for their engagement session, and I can’t wait for their wedding in April!
I might have made one too may comments about how blue Meg’s eyes are – but can you blame me?

Congrats, guys!
jordan & kayla: engaged {clemson, sc engagement photographer}

jordan and kayla are getting married next february. i have known kayla for a while – she was one of my little brother’s friends from high school. (side note: it makes me feel OLD to be shooting the wedding of someone who is my little brother’s age) she has a beautiful voice, a precious personality (and obviously i’m not saying that because she isn’t also STUNNINGLY gorgeous), and now she has a wonderful man who compliments her so well in every way, as far as i could tell. we had a great time stomping through the mud on her grandparents’ land. thanks, kayla and jordan! i can’t wait to get to know you both better over the coming months!
rebecca
stunning. i love it. colors, light, love, everything. love.

aren’t they so cute together?

this next one is maybe one of my favorite images. ever. i love it.

so, the horses REALLY wanted to be in the pictures. apparently. it was only slightly annoying, and made for some very funny moments. like when one licked the back of jordan’s head. or when one was nibbling at my 50″ by 60″ folded reflector, and it opened up and all the horses ran. you probably had to be there, but that’s why the horse made it into the post.

stephen & kristina: the video edition
February 7, 2011
I have shared with some of you, that my dad has recently started working with me! I attended a photography conference back in September where there was a speaker talking about the HD video capabilities of newer DSLR cameras. Knowing my dad’s love for anything technological, I emailed him from the conference and told him I had found him something to do when he retires! Next thing I know, he’s bought a book on what is known as Fusion, and was looking into what camera to purchase!
Fusion, as you’ll see from the video, is a mix of still photographs and video, and is set to music. To be clear, he is not necessarily a videographer. He videos select portions of the day, and we put it all together. It’s been really fun to have another photography junkie in the family, and I’m very excited about the possibilities as we grow.
Brides – this is an add-on to your package, so email me if you’re interested, and I’ll send you the pricing information.
We’re still working on how we want these to be, and tweaking our process, but I’m very VERY excited about how they are turning out! I will hopefully be posting another one here in the next couple of weeks. Enjoy!

Stephen & Kristina were married on a beautiful January day…I feel very blessed that with the crazy winter we have had, God has blessed all my brides (and me
) with terrific weather. It was chilly, true, but it could have been much worse and this wedding party took it like champs. Stephen’s dad performed the ceremony, and it made the day that much more meaningful. Stephen and Kristina, I can’t wait to hear how God grows your little family. I have enjoyed every minute I have spent with the two of you and Peyton. Blessings in your marriage, and thanks for allowing me to be a part of your day!!

I have watched them grow to become the adults they are, they have been a blessing to their families and friends. The beauty that has been captured by the photographer is a shining glimpse of the beauty they behold in their love for each other and their daughter. I pray the love you have for each other carry you through the rest of our lives. I love you all. Thank you for sharing these precious pictres.

the collins family {clemson, sc lifestyle family photography}
February 3, 2011
meet the collins family. i knew suzanne and her kids, mabry, emma, and jake when i taught at new covenant. kevin (dad, not featured in this particular session), suzanne, and kids added little mia to their family at the beginning of this year. mia is adopted, but it is so evident that god designed this little one to fit right into their sweet family. i enjoyed every minute of my time with their family! you’ll be seeing more of them, as they’ve agreed to let me experiment on them with a new type of photography that I will be offering – lifestyle family photography. while i LOVE the sweet white-dress-in-the-garden-leaning-on-a-wrought-iron-gate portraits, and i will definitely have them of my children, i think that everyday life is just as beautiful. for children to be able to look back and see what their childhood was like, to capture the innocence and beauty of your life, just as it is. more details on this to follow soon.
and after that long, rambling intro, meet the collins.

such a precious family!

i mean, could she be any cuter?
