Welcome to My Blog!
Hi! Welcome to my photography blog! My name is Rebecca Perkins. I grew up in Clemson, and I've been a Tiger since birth. I met my husband and best friend at Clemson, and we've been married now for just over four years. Photography has been a love of mine for years, but I never imagined that I would get to do what I really love for a living. I taught school for three years, and began my business, honestly, as a way to fund my hobby. :) God has tremendously blessed me by allowing me to be a part of people's lives - weddings, births, family, love, relationships - and I am so grateful.
Please take some time to look through my work - I hope you see the joy and love that I seek to capture in each image, and, if I don't already know you, I hope you get to know me a bit through seeing what I love.
As I am the world's MOST indecisive person, the blog will, most likely, be an evolving process for the next little while. It might have been better if I had not had to figure out how to do it all myself, because now I will be tempted to change it too much! Check back often, and, for more information on booking, pricing, and to see more of my work, see my website, www.rebeccaperkinsphotography.com.
Thanks for stopping by!

Julia and Jeremy: Engaged!!
May 11, 2012
So I can’t believe I’m posting these pictures on my blog. (Frankly, I can’t believe I’m finally posting on the blog at all…but that’s a story for another day.) Julia was one of our “adopted students” at Clemson. Now, I was a pretty slack ‘mom’ for the most part, but we managed to get together on a fairly regular basis for her last year or so at Clemson. And, as girls do, our conversation tended to occasionally drift to boys, and marriage, and all that good stuff. Sadly, Jeremy went to another school. In another state. I won’t say where. It wasn’t SOUTH Carolina, at least.
But, when Julia graduated, she got a job in Charlotte, and shortly after moving, she met Jeremy. Who very kindly offered to take her to lunch…and the rest is history. Julia, I’m SO excited for you both. Jeremy, you were so much fun, and win the award for one of the most laid-back fiancees ever. (If you’ll notice, I had a hard time getting them to just look at me with normal smiles. They would much prefer to be looking at each other, or laughing. And that’s why I’m so in love with these pictures.)
I can’t wait until November!! It’s not as far away as it seems, I promise!

Mr. and Mrs. Martin-to-be
November 18, 2011
Anthony and Melissa are getting married in Alabama this coming spring, but they came up to God’s country to have a few pictures taken.
They, as you will be able to see, are so stinkin happy together. And so stinkin’ cute! Melissa was constantly laughing…and even Anthony was having fun, I think…taking pictures (which most guys aren’t too big on)! Thanks, guys! So glad it worked out to do these! Best of everything in planning for your wedding, and in your life together! I know you’re going to have a wonderfully happy and long life together!

Ashleigh’s Senior Portraits
November 1, 2011
Ashleigh came over a few days ago to do some senior portraits. I love doing senior portraits for a lot of reasons, but part of what I love is getting to spend time with awesome girls like Ashleigh. We had lots of fun getting some different shots around Pendleton. I love this town. You’ll see why…
I LOVE the color in this shot…

…but I also, as always, love the simplicity of the black and white…

Ashleigh’s one request for her session was that it involve railroad tracks, so we went just around the corner to shoot some on these tracks. I love my yellow chair on the tracks, and the way it contrasts with her outfit. AND, of course, I’m in love with her boots.

2nd fave shot of the day…

have I mentioned that I love fall? I mean, I love shooting different times of the year for different reasons, but you just can’t beat fall colors.

Ashleigh, you. are. stunning.

I think this shot is my favorite…

Thanks, Ashleigh (and Johnel!
) ! I really enjoyed every minute of it!
Abby 6 Month Portraits
September 30, 2011
Melt. my. heart. Oh my word I love this child. She was beautiful as a newborn, more beautiful at three months, and she keeps getting more and more gorgeous. Andrew, watch out!
I think the only thing that can rival little Abby’s parents’ adoration for her, is her love for them. She LOVES her parents. And she loves to laugh at her daddy. She was such a little angel for our shoot – there aren’t many 6-month-olds that can handle a location change. But, apparently, Abby is already a die-hard Clemson fan, so she was willing to make the trek to the stadium. (To be fair, SHE didn’t have to climb the steps, but still…) Ashley and Andrew, thanks so much for sharing your baby girl with me, and for being an encouragement in so many ways. I am blessed to have you as friends!

Thanks, again! See you in three months! (Or, you know, next week…)
